More importantly, slips and trips can happen anywhere in a building
What can you do?
Avoid slips by keeping watch for hazardous working conditions - e.g. wet floors, icy areas, oil and grease
Avoid trips by maintaining a good standard of housekeeping
Ensure that materials are stored and access-ways are kept clear
Ensure equipment is put away after it’s been used
Wear sensible footwear for the task at hand and environment
Report it...
If you slip or trip at work, don’t be afraid to speak up
Housekeeping is important but nothing can be done if no one knows about it
