WORKING FROM HOME MODULE
Equipment that you may be provided with:
Workstation
Computer
Mobile Phone
Printer
Broadband/Wifi
Insurance:
Equipment provided by the employer and installed in an employee’s home will be covered under the employers insurance policy
Any other domestic equipment/property will not be covered & are the sole responsibility of the employee
Inform your insurance company of you working from home
The Employer should provide:
Management support and Supervision
Regular interaction between the member of staff and the line manager
Advice, guidance and feedback
Risk Assessments:
Each member of staff ‘working from home’ must complete a self-assessment risk assessment
Carry out a Workstation Risk Assessments for laptops
complete for use whilst in the ‘main office base’
Need not be written down for short term work away from the normal work location (i.e someone else’s office)
Electrical Testing:
The employer will be responsible for the maintenance of electrical equipment they provide
Electrical sockets and other parts of the homeworkers' domestic electrical system are their own responsibility
