What is a facility inspection?
Daily Inspections
All Fire Exits can be opened and are clear
Fire Extinguishers are in place and charged
Cleanliness
Items for repair and any service problems
Equipment has been set up and is in good condition
Staff appearance, which includes uniform with name badges
Weekly Inspections
Fire fighting/emergency equipment such as fire exits, and means of escape
Emergency Lighting
Appropriate Work Equipment
Lifts & Lifting Equipment
PPE
Ladder Checks
First Aid Supplies
Hazard:- the potential for something or someone to cause harm, damage or injury
Hazard Spotting
Carry out checks you are asked to do
Report back findings and issues – don’t be afraid to speak up
If it doesn’t look right, it normally isn’t!!
Keep an eye out for hazards at all times of the day
